PROJECT HELLEANOR

This car carries a dark history, earning it a name that reflects its troubled beginnings. Originally discovered in a neglected state in a barn in the United States, it was intended to be transformed into the customer’s dream car—an Eleanor recreation inspired by the iconic Gone in 60 Seconds film. To bring this vision to life, the customer entrusted the project to a so-called “professional Mustang restoration specialist.”

What followed was a frustrating six-year wait, culminating in the delivery of a deeply disappointing result. The car was barely driveable—unable to exceed 45 mph without severe vibration and instability. The paintwork, while seemingly presentable from a distance, revealed itself to be substandard upon closer inspection. Unfortunately, this was only the first sign of the poor workmanship hidden beneath the surface.

Further investigation uncovered dangerously inadequate welding and structural work, rendering the vehicle unsafe. After addressing all mechanical issues to ensure roadworthiness, we made the decision to return the car to the rotisserie for a complete structural overhaul. This marks the beginning of a proper restoration journey—one that will finally fulfill the original vision with the quality and precision it deserves.
